Hello, I am Youngdal Lee, CEO of Gigto EV Co., Ltd.
As electric vehicles spread rapidly around the world, two challenges have risen to the top: the shortage of charging infrastructure and EV fire safety. Cities urgently need infrastructure that can charge many vehicles safely within limited space, and they need new response technology for EV battery fires, which progress through a mechanism entirely different from ordinary fires.
Gigto EV has developed technology that resolves both challenges within a single system. By integrating EV charging and an early fire-suppression system into a mechanical parking structure, we secure spatial efficiency and safety at once. Through a joint consortium with DY Co., Ltd., we obtained MOTIE Demonstration Special Case No. 777-2, establishing the basis to commercialize the technology — and we plan to expand from Korea into EV-infrastructure markets worldwide.
